Sem and Esther have a calling for refugees. Sem is available full-time for the “On The Way” drop-in center.
Esther is additionally involved with Cherut.
Cherut provides professional counseling and support to provide opportunities for girls, women and transgender people in situations of prostitution, exploitation and human trafficking.
Ministry to Refugees and Vulnerable Women
Sem and Esther: Since the beginning of our marriage, we experienced a more specific calling for people on the run. This brought us into a drop-in center in Austria and in Greece. There we were able to meet a lot of people on the run, which made us determined to start a shelter in our region together with God. We began to pioneer and two and a half years later we can say that the open house is a reality.
Sem quit his job as of February 16, 2024 to focus full-time on On The Way. There are 3-4 volunteers each week to lead game nights and serve visitors.
In addition to her involvement with On The Way, Esther still shares her passion for vulnerable women and volunteers with Cherut. Cherut provides professional guidance and support in a variety of areas to provide opportunities for girls, women and transgender people in situations of prostitution, exploitation and human trafficking.
