iTeams NL in cooperation with the Free Evangelical Church Elburg-Nunspeet have the privilege of commissioning and sending the Pijnacker Hordijk family to serve in Korca Albania. Jairo and Francien together with their children will serve with the Evangelical Church of Korca and the Kennedy Foundation.
On Sunday December 14 the commissioning service for Jairo and Francien was in Nunspeet. It was a real mission focused service. 2 Corinthians 2.12-17 was the text for the sermon. After the message a prayer of blessing was prayed over the whole family. During the service iTeams NL Director, Barth Companjen, brought a short message of encouragement to the family Pijnacker Hordijk and their church, and joined the pastor in commissioning them to service.
After the service there was a time of farewells, giving of gifts and words of blessing for the family. The fathers of both Jairo and Francien spoke a heartfelt message blessing their children and grandchildren committing them to God and their mission.
Reflecting on the day Jairo said that for them the day was like both a wedding and funeral - a day full of both sadness and joy, looking back but also looking forward. They felt blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful group of family, church community and colleagues from iTeams NL.
